Napar Suviano ( Part 1 )
It was a grey Sunday morning at the Du’Rane estate. A rare chill hung in the air as Gino summoned his two sons Napar and Suviano to the center of the living room. The silence in the house wasn’t just quiet, it was heavy
As the brothers entered, Napar with cautious thought, Suviano with a fierce demeanor, they noticed their father slouched in his velvet chair, gazing out toward the marble fireplace.
“So why are we here?” Napar asked, sensing something dark behind his father’s calm.
Gino stood silent for a moment, staring through his sons as if peering into something far beyond the room. His voice, when it finally broke the silence , was low and heavy.
“Time’s caught up with me,” he said, eyes dark with acceptance. “I won’t be around much longer . And before I go… there are matters of Business that must be put to rest.”
Napar’s face twisted in shock. “You say it like its meaningless”
Gino’s eyes rose, slow and heavy, and when they locked with Napar’s, there was no fatherly warmth only disappointment
“Still young minded I see,” he said, voice sharp and steady. “Everyone dies. That’s the cost of a soul’s evolution. Death is not an end it’s a transfer. Have you learned nothing thru these years ?”
Blinded by his emotions of hearing the staggering news, Napars heart paused in disappointment. That word “nothing” rattled through his mind. He was always the level headed, understanding person. But lately… he’d felt it slipping.
“Let him finish,” said Suviano, sharp and dry, as he leaned against the edge of the fireplace with folded arms. Napar glared at him but said nothing.
Gino took a long breath. Then he straightened his back and spoke with the power of a leader:
“I built an empire from dust. And now, I must pass the throne. One of you will inherit the Du’Rane name in full effect 500 billion in assets, investments, portfolios, and every thread that holds this empire together. But understand this neither of you gets it by birthright. It must be earned.”
Both sons stood frozen.
“You will each build your own legacy . From the ground up. The one whose empire is stronger than the other by loyalty, by influence, by movement, by wealth will inherit everything. The rest will fade into shadows.”
A dark weight settled over Napar’s chest. His greatest weakness wasn’t his intellect it was Suviano. The older brother had always outshined him in the one arena Napar never mastered: influence. Even in childhood, when they sold fundraisers Suviano’s charm closed every deal before Napar could even open his mouth.
“Why waste time on these theatrics?” Suviano scoffed. “Just give me what I’ve already earned.”
Gino smirked. “Because you haven’t earned it fully yet. You only become king when the kingdom chooses you. Build somthing to my liking, and the throne is yours.”
Suviano said confidently . “Fine with me.”
Gino stood and clapped his hands twice. “To make things even more interesting, I’ve reassembled your closest friends, the minds who helped shape your visions. The Emperial Jungle and The Treacherous Forest will emerge in this very room… today.”
Napar’s eyes widened.
It had been years since the two factions last shared air all together and every time they crossed paths, it ended in chaos: sabotage, psychological warfare, sometimes even blood. These weren’t just teams. These were enemies .
Suddenly, ding.
Then, ding.
Two doorbells rang at once across the massive Du’Rane mansion.
The lions had returned.
The owls were watching.
The empire was about to split in two.
